My grandmother, we call her Paw, is my hero. She is the one who has taught me so much about being a wife, mother and a follower of Christ. She has persevered through so many hard times in her life and she always finds a way to be content where she is. She has Parkinson’s and can no longer care for herself in most ways. She can feed herself and read her newspaper but she needs help with pretty much everything else. I am honored to be able to go over and help her out every week. She has been a blessing to me my whole life and so I am honored to be able to return the favor. I love her. I am blessed to be her Grandchild. Thanks for asking, now I am all emotional, Rob! Haha!
Did is my hero. He’s the best Dad on the planet, and I’m not just saying that because I’m his kid. I can’t tell you how many people have said over the years what great parents my brothers and I have. I think the thing I like the most about my Dad is how much he really cares about everything that goes on in our lives (even the little stuff). He is an actor, so maybe he’s just really good at convincing us about how much he cares, but he seems awfully sincere and it always makes me feel great. No matter how long it’s been since I’ve talked to him last, he always sounds like hearing from me is the best thing that’s happened to him all day. He’s the best!!!
My heros are kids who are independent, courageous, creative individuals who grow up, know who they are, leave home, marry well, embrace the core values representing biblical truth, and become the kind of interesting, adventurous people, that a parent is not only proud of but likes to spend time with and learn from. My heros are Rob, Sarah, and Jon. Success in life is raising kids you want to spend time with once they are grown.
