Mark Batterson in his book In A Pit With A Lion On A Snowy Day writes, “Christ followers ought to be the most passionate people on the planet. To be like Jesus is to be consumed with passion”. I feel Batterson is very generic and cliche in this point.
Take out the word passion and replace it with it’s meaning… intensely emotional. Is that what we’re really supposed to be as Christians… and what does that mean?
I think compassionate would have been a more fitting word for what Christians really should be and I could have giving myself a higher score. BUT given the meaning I think of when I think of passion relating to God I’d say depending on the day a 2 – 4.
