Observation: After going to the gym today I came to the conclusion that some people shouldn't wear spandex. In fact people who can get away with wearing spandex should not wear it just because someone who shouldn't wear it might think they can pull it off as well. I'll go one step further...I think spandex should be banned in all major states.

Haha...there is a middle aged man at the gym I go to who wears these SUPER tight short shorts. It is very scary indeed.
I'm forced to ask the obvious question...do we determine major vs. minor states on population, statewide tax income, number of poisonous snakes, or number of bald representatives?
Scott, great question. I would say population would play a part. I would also say it would include states that won't shoot you if you do wear spandex. I think some southern states take care of themselves.
Most of my working wardrobe consists of spandex fabric content in varying degrees. I would have trouble with it being banned. The other option is frumpy/dowdy looking oversized cotton (which sometimes has spandex in it), which is equally as unflattering as spandex can sometimes be (especially on females).
I've seen a lot of spandex while working at a gym wear, so it doesn't phase me too much any more. At least they are where they should be to get a spandex-friendly body.
Wearing spandex outside the gym is another matter entirely.
the People of Walmart have some really great photos in their collection thanks to spandex!
